SERVING AND SUPPORTING OUR SOLDIERS IN THE JUDEAN DISTRICT

Hasdei Avot gives support and encouragement to soldiers serving in Kiryat Arba and Hebron. We salute our soldiers for the protection they provide our residents and appreciate that they do so night and day in all weather conditions, far away from the comforts of home.
There are a number of ways we assist and provide encouragement:

1. The 18+ club:
   Young men about to be conscripted into the army are helped prepare for army service through trips and exciting activities (such as abseiling), musical performances as well as helping them find interim employment.
2. Combat soldiers:
   We arrange the distribution of hot soup, tea and coffee and pizza as well as winter wear to soldiers serving in outposts in the district. The goodies come packaged with a warm smile and kind words which means the world to them.
3. Lone soldiers:
   Soldiers without families in Israel need special care, and we help arrange adoptive families that are able to host soldiers for Shabbat as well as provide them with a warm loving environment.
4. Newly-demobilized soldiers:
   We assist soldiers that have completed their manadatory national service with finding work and in a general advisory capacity.
